Extensive research explores healthy aging - yet it’s nearly impossible to separate the anti-aging/miracle cure “marketing noise” from proven strategies to support lifelong vitality. After 25+ years immersed in the field of healthy aging, I’ve created the Vitality Portfolio® course to put my expertise to work for you! I’ll expose surprising barriers to lifelong vitality, translate game-changing research into practical strategies and printable Vitality Spotlights® guides, and help you close the gap between intentions for aging well - and actions. Exposure to negative stereotypes of aging diminish older adult performance on both cognitive and physical tests.
The average person loses about 1- 1½ % of strength per year after age 30. Do the math! Losing half of your strength by age 65 sabotages independence.
Power – the ability to generate force quickly (strength x speed) is more critical to function than strength alone, and you lose it about 3x’s faster than strength!
